Cancellation of Annual Lunch with Santa and Tree Lighting

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board has made the decision to cancel the annual Lunch with Santa and Tree Lighting events; however, in an effort to spread some additional holiday cheer this winter season, please see Bethel Township's complete list of safe holiday activities below.

Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board Hosts a Holiday House Decorating Contest

Beginning Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 the Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board will be hosting a 2020 Holiday House Decorating Contest transforming Bethel Township into a winter wonderland!

All Bethel Residents are encouraged to participate for a chance to win a gift cards to their favorite holiday shopping destinations. Residents interested in participating should submit a photo of their outdoor holiday decorations to the Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Facebook Page by December 23rd, 2020.

Winners will be selected based on the number of “likes” they receive on the photo.

How to Submit to Win

To submit your holiday house decorations for official participation in this contest, please snap a photo with no filters or enhancements and place it in the comments of the contest announcement posted on the Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Facebook page by December 23rd. Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board Hosts a Book Collection for the Delaware County Children and Youth Services

The Bethel Township Parks and Recreation Board will be collecting new and gently used children's books for the Delaware County Children and Youth Services to provide to local families in need. Book donations can be placed in the blue bin outside of the Bethel Township Administration Building, located at 1092 Bethel Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, now through December 31st. Please note that the donation bin will be pulled in at 4:00 PM each night, so night donations will not be accepted. Bethel Township Hose Co. # 1 Partners Up with the North Pole for Letters with Santa

It's Christmas time, and the Bethel Township Hose Company No. 1 is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Letters to Santa! Letters will be accepted through Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, to guarantee a response from Santa! Letters can be dropped off in the special mailbox located outside of the Fire Department at 3737 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, 19060. Parents: Please don't forget to clearly print your child's name and address on the letter to ensure that Santa knows where to send a letter back! Santa Set to Visit Bethel Township on Sunday, December 13th, 2020

Calling all kids and parents! We just received a HUGE SURPRISE from the North Pole. Santa Claus will be joining the Bethel Township Hose Company No. 1 for a fire truck ride through Bethel Township on Sunday, December 13th, 2020. Santa and his helpers will be leaving the Fire Station at 10:00 AM and will make his way around Bethel Township. Be sure to listen for the fire truck sirens! Santa will be so happy to see all his good little girls and boys. The rain date for this event will be on Saturday, December 19th, 2020. As a precautionary measure, the Bethel Township Hose Company will stay in compliance will all CDC guidelines and will not be passing out candy canes this year.

Food and Toy Donations for the local food bank may be dropped off on the picnic table behind the Fire Station, located at 3737 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, 19060.
