Trash & Recycling Can Information:
Residents of Bethel Township, should be aware that the Township does not provide or sell trash or recycling bins. Each household is responsible for obtaining their own containers for waste and recyclables. While you can choose your own cans, they should be durable, easy for haulers to access, and able to withstand weather and animals.
Recycling in Bethel Township
Recycling is picked up curbside once a week per residence by Opdenaker on Fridays 7:00AM to 6:00PM.
Please note: The recycling receptacles are for recycling materials only. Trash collectors will not collect trash in the recycle bins on regular trash collection days.

Trash Services
Household trash is picked up curbside once a week per residence by Opdenaker. All trash should be in trash containers or securely placed in trash bags. Loose items, if possible, should be bundled and tied in lengths no longer than 36 inches. Empty trash containers should be removed from curbside on the same day after trash has been collected. Please review our list of unaccepted curbside trash items.

Holiday Trash Pick Up Schedule
If the regularly scheduled trash collection falls on any holiday, your trash will be collected the following day. Recycling will be collected on Saturday.

Bulk Trash Collection
Residents are permitted one (1) bulk item per week with regular trash collection; exclusions apply.
Appliances and Metal Bulk Items
For appliances and metal bulk items, including but not limited to air conditioning units, outdoor metal furniture, washers and dryers, refrigerators, freezers, hot water heaters, and similar items, residents must contact Opdenaker directly at 610-459-3515 to schedule a pickup. These items are subject to an additional charge.
FREON-Containing Items
Bulk items that contain FREON are NOT INCLUDED with regular bulk trash collection and are subject to an additional charge. Please contact Opdenaker directly at 610-459-3515 to arrange pickup and pricing.
